Found one, but was informed Target clearance prices are location specific based on stock available. They do not match clearance prices for other stores.

Had an interesting experience at the Target in Eagle Rock, a neighborhood of Los Angeles. I figured no way I'd get the deal because I never get these deals, but I saw the Eagle Rock Target showed 7 in stock around 10am today. Everywhere else said OOS. I didn't believe it but looked an hour later and it showed 5. I thought, oh wow, that could mean they actually have some and are selling at the clearance price. Being 15 min away, I figured worth a shot, so I jumped in my car and raced over there.

Two nice guys were waiting in the TV area. I asked if they were there for the C3. They said yeah and that the employee was getting them from the back! She rolled up with five on a cart and asked if I wanted one! I was shocked. The first guy bought two. The second guy bought one. I bought one, and a young guy showed up after me to get the last one. I almost bought two but when the younger guy showed up, figured I'd share the love.

Turns out, others had shown up earlier in the day but were turned away because the employees didn't think they had any. I happened to show up after they found them. Took them awhile to bring them up so must have been stored in some corner somewhere in their warehouse.

This is the first YMMV deal I've ever been fortunate enough to snag and my first ever 4K display so am very appreciative! Congrats to those who also found one and good luck to those still trying!

bah, picked one up and it rang at $800. Any chance they'll allow a return-rebuy if the price drops?
any luck?

How did you know the price had dropped? Did they still have them in stock when they did the adjustment?

Official target T&C is that you cannot Price Adjust/Price Protect clearance items. Big YMMV on employees observing this.

And as stated before, you cannot price match (e.g. pre-purchase) clearance from another store. You can however price match the online price (shown in app and target.com), though that doesn't help anyone due to online still in the $800+ range.

Not sure on return/rebuy as I've never even seen that concept until this week.

Would also like to know this as I'm wondering if I should give them a couple days after picking it up yesterday night

When I was hunting Xbox X at Target a couple years ago before Christmas, I'd have the barcode on my phone and walk around until I saw someone stocking shelves. I'd have them scan the code and they could see if they had any in the back. If they did, I'd go to electronics and say "Can I please buy one of the 3 you have in the back?" They'd sell to me. If you had just asked in electronics, they'd tell you no. They may have been sandbagging people until their friend could show up and buy them.

This appears to be the barcode here https://www.barcodelookup.com/195174051238

The automated price check stations may show the clearance price too. They had it shut down for XBOX X back then.

There were two in the AM, I bought one. Someone bought the other one later in the day so I went back to the store and gave the item number to one of the floor staff w/ a PDA; they confirmed the price had dropped. Went to the return counter(with the TV in hand) and asked if I could do a return-rebuy and they made an adjustment to the original receipt instead

If the store is out of stock, I believe their tool will show Discontinued, and may not even allow them to see the $359.99 price. (?). Would love if a team member or someone in the know can confirm.

That would really dwindle the possible stores one might attempt to price protect/price adjust from post purchase.

lol me too! These sales are unpredictable and you can't really depend on them. Even if you see them in time it's not assured you're getting one
