I went to my local target hoping to find a LG C3 65" or 55". Sold out. However they just marked down the 42" to $359.99. Thats 70% off. I bought two. There were plenty of more. Big in store only YMMV!

Had an interesting experience at the Target in Eagle Rock, a neighborhood of Los Angeles. I figured no way I'd get the deal because I never get these deals, but I saw the Eagle Rock Target showed 7 in stock around 10am today. Everywhere else said OOS. I didn't believe it but looked an hour later and it showed 5. I thought, oh wow, that could mean they actually have some and are selling at the clearance price. Being 15 min away, I figured worth a shot, so I jumped in my car and raced over there.
Two nice guys were waiting in the TV area. I asked if they were there for the C3. They said yeah and that the employee was getting them from the back! She rolled up with five on a cart and asked if I wanted one! I was shocked. The first guy bought two. The second guy bought one. I bought one, and a young guy showed up after me to get the last one. I almost bought two but when the younger guy showed up, figured I'd share the love.
Turns out, others had shown up earlier in the day but were turned away because the employees didn't think they had any. I happened to show up after they found them. Took them awhile to bring them up so must have been stored in some corner somewhere in their warehouse.
This is the first YMMV deal I've ever been fortunate enough to snag and my first ever 4K display so am very appreciative! Congrats to those who also found one and good luck to those still trying!
Enjoy your new OLED TV! I was the other guy waiting in line at Eagle Rock earlier today.
Found one, but was informed Target clearance prices are location specific based on stock available. They do not match clearance prices for other stores.

That's SD rule 1 to never call and tip off the employees about the deal. Once you knew they had one in stock, instead of calling and asking to reserve you should have shown up at 8 AM at the store and head straight to the electronics section to get the deal. These are always YMMV.
Yeah, I never said I called the store. I showed up there in person and they told me to come back tomorrow. Relax.
Update! I saw the app went back to "Limited Stock" for some weird reason so I decided to run back over today for the hell of it. The last time I was here the display price card thing was missing at my store but there was a tiny barcode placeholder for the item UPC I took a picture of.
Instead of going back to that tech guy, I went to a random price scanner near the groceries and scanned the barcode. It said "Limited Stock", "discontinued", and "In back: No". But the price was $360! I found some guy restocking keyboard and mice on the shelves in electronics and asked him to scan my barcode and to see if there were any left.
Even though the customer price checker said there was none in back, the guy's scanner found it and I think it even showed him a shelf location in the back or something. He said he would go to the back and get it and a few minutes later I had my TV on a cart ready to buy. He said I had to go up to the tech dept desk to purchase it, so I did. The first tech guy was still there and was giving me some looks, but there was another guy there that quickly checked me out. I paid with my Target card and got the 5% off.
Thanks for all the tips everyone, glad I was able to get one. This was at the Rockaway NJ store.
EDIT: I attached a pic of the barcode I used in case anyone else wants to try using the price check or asking an employee to scan.
Congrats! This was the one I bought at $839.99 yesterday and returned this morning. I tried to do a return/rebuy, but they wouldn't sell it to me at $360. Enjoy it, I'm glad someone from this community got it!
It's not too late. I just scored one at a location that said they didn't have any. After spending quite some time at the store comparing what was left over they found buried in the back a 42c3 and asked if I wanted it. Yes sir! Thank you!
Comparing the specs - it was either a 6.2-6.3 rated mediocre super big tv for $300
Or a 9.0 rated 42" for $359.
Good luck, they're bringing all the TVs out and putting them on the floor today. They're selling almost instantly.
Anyone in NY lucky enough to get one that they don't really need? I missed out since I was working, but would definitely be willing to meet in NYC/Long Island to surprise my wife with one as her new monitor. Lmk please🙏🏽
Eagle Rock, CA had about 7 in stock this morning but literally sold out as I was paying for one 30 mins ago.
Something to note, the inventory tracker on the Target app is not accurate and will show either 'Out of Stock' or 'No longer available'. It's best to use the desktop Target website to verify stock near you. That's how it led me to the Eagle Rock, CA location.
How is that I checked both targets at eagle rock on desktop target page on the day this was posted literally mins after it was posted and both showed OOS
My local store has only 55" & 65" on display for sale.
55" is for $750+ 30% off = $525 -%5 red card = $498.75
65" = $1000 discount with another 30% off display +5% off red card.
Should I buy the display model? with the same 30-day refund/return warranty and 1 year manufacturer warranty?
Both 55 & 65" with remote but no TV stand.
30% off display is a great deal... my store would just give 10% with no remote, no stand or anything.. no box.. no packaging... will just load (lay flat) the tv on cart an then check out...
TLDR; Most Chicago city Targets are OOS on all sizes, except for display models.
Just spent closet to 10 hours visiting multiple targets, and even some neighborhood ones (I had the day off and I'm moving, so thought this would be an excellent pick up) Even though on the target app it says not sold in store. They were some definitely sold in store but were picked up already. A lot of reps were very friendly, and checked in the base, however all were OOS. I asked about the display model, some were willing to sell, some were not. I opted on not buying one since after talking and researching that some leave the TVs on OVERNIGHT. That means they've been on for days/weeks at a time, and who knows how long they've been on display. Not worth. But ofc the most important part, did I visit YOUR Target? Here are the ones I visited in no particular order
South Loop
West Loop
McKinley Park
Chicago State st
Chicago South Pulaski
River North
Cicero
Streeterville
Lincoln Park South
Gold Coast
Lincoln Park North
Lakeview Belmon Stn
Lakeview Ashland

I may have missed a couple, or misremembered one for another, but they started to blend together. But this should be the bulk of them. I wish target had a way to differentiate a "neighborhood" target and an actual one where they sell more than 3 TVs. Im going to bed now, disappointed I wasn't even able to snag one.
your like 2 days late. When I got mine, West Loop was like the only ones still had 3 in stock.
