ngl I dont get why people hate gamestop. like the only bad practice is gutting new copies to display. yea their service is mediocre at best but margins on profit for videogames is stupid low, I prefer to have them open just to have the option for walk-in buy physical or trade ins than the alternative of digital only future.
A newbie question: The RE4 VR mode that's free posted by the OP, is it the same full game as the VR mode in RE4 Remake that's running for $19.99? I am interested only in PSVR2 mode.

Oh nevermind, it looks like the free one is a VR add-on, I need to purchase RE4 Remake in order to use the free add-on.
No, for real. Disclaimer: I am a frequent to Gamestop for many years and also a Gamestop stockholder.
The GameStop we once knew versus what it has become is not the same. GameStop used to mean something. It is only standing today because of the fiasco with their stock, otherwise they were literally on the bring of bankruptcy due to their anti-consumer practices (which it still continues currently). If GameStop wants to succeed, it needs to do better. It's seen in a negative light for a reason. I truly want to see GameStop succeeding (for good reasons) as physical game stores have their own benefit that most retailers do not bring to the table. As it stands, it has competition from other retailers that it needs to hurdle over.
Is the dlc worth waiting on a deal for? The gold edition seems like a good collection with the Ada mission but is it? Seems like it will be a while before the Gold edition drops below $30.
I've been almost exclusively physical on the PS5. Their digital prices are not great, and the 2nd hand market via FB marketplace has been very kind to me.

This is correct, but I believe there is also a free VR demo of each game available! Both are great in VR and feel fully-featured and not just a tacked on VR mode!

GameStop has no viable future vision and treats their employees like trash, it's days are limited, hopefully you aren't putting too many eggs in that stock basket

Separate ways DLC is rated very highly. All depends on each person if they wanna wait. On one hand it's only $10 full price, so if you don't need the extra costumes and weapons that come in the Gold edition you can just buy the base game and separate ways for $30 total right now. If you want to wait though, based on prior Capcom history (RE7, 8, 2 remake) the gold / deluxe edition usually released at $50, went on sale for $40 a few months later, went on sale for $30 around 9 months after release, and went on sale for $20 around 1-1.5 years after release (Going off of memory, I looked it up a few days ago). So Gold edition will maybe hit $30 by the end of the year, and maybe $20 around this time next year. Maybe.

I'm general, I hate GameStop because I feel a lot of their practices were pretty predatory when it comes to the kids. Kids bring in games to sell and they get such a low valuation, far lower than any other resale option. Kid comes ina nd trades in 10 games and gets 15 dollars towards a full price game. I know stores and employees all cost money and as an adult, I know there are alternatives to purchasing used, but the kids don't see all that and get fleeced.
I also have no remorse for when they saw the writing on the wall with digital coming to light and ultimately did nothing except stand their ground.

Is it even saving you any money considering by the time you get to it, the game will be $5?

No one going to gamestop when amazon ships it straight to your door in a day for the lowest price.
