dont buy this, this thing is horrible. dyson offered this to us after our v11 failed and they didnt have any v11s in stock. the oversize vacuum is just too big. its heavy, difficult to maneuver and impossible to use as a hand vacuum with any of the attachments

Thanks for the heads-up, was going to buy this for my elderly mom. But now I won't. She had the smaller v10, but it died.

The V12 Detect Slim is supposed to be very light (probably compromises on bin capacity and suction compared to V15). But it's also the only one in the current lineup, I believe, that has a push button so you don't have to hold the trigger. https://www.dyson.com/vacuum-clea...rdless/v12

I have a V12 and it's indeed light and also push button start. Although if you have a lot of carpet and/or high pile area rugs the bin fills quickly, which would be my only negative about the V12

I think she had the V10 slim that died, I was surprised at how small it was compared to my V11. I'll take a look at the V12. Thanks!

Almost bought this thinking it's better than the V11, thanks for the heads up

Not seeing that. Can you share more info on it?
Per the website, the bin is bigger and the vacuum head is wider with a bit more power.
