luckily I was able to return them after a 5 miles run, soles were shredded.

I have a pair. My experience is that the Mach 5 is more of a casual use shoe. It was not a good shoe to use for running. There's better options out there at this price point.

For example, the New Balance Propel V4. The Propel is heavier but its midsole geometry and Fuelcell foam provide a more robust transition and toe off. It also has a durable rubber outsole.

I have these shoes, and I like them a lot. It's a smooth run with a surprising amount of support for being so light. I'm at just over 100 miles in them.

But as others have alluded to, there is no rubber outsole on the bottom. So if you're rough on your shoes, you're likely to tear through these pretty quick. I'm light on my feet and have not had this issue, but clearly it's an issue for some

Great running shoes. One of the best rated speed/daily running shoes. Search for reviews, most runners love the lightness, confortness and how the upper hugs the feet. I would say the only downside is the durability of the semi exposed midsole but it can still take 300 miles easily. I bought 3 pairs of Mach5 last year.
