It's been almost 3 years since a deal was posted on SD for TN660 cartridges, so I'm in for a 4 pack.

I had that problem. Thought it was my drum that was going bad. I tried the density/darker adjustments and everything else but nothing worked. Didn't want to waste money on all that. So bought a cheap newer Brother. I still have the printer sitting in storage.
Just stocked up on this 4 pack. Fingers crossed.
I know there's a risk to the printer but my rational (to myself) is the printer costs ~$220, and each OEM cartridge costs like $80, so if even just three of my current six $5 cartridges work as well as an OEM cartridge, they've covered the cost of replacing the printer in worst case scenario.
Basically it's Brother's (and every other printer manufacturer's) fault for making OEM cartridges so expensive.

These printers make their way to the landfill or thrift shops. We picked up a 2380dw for $5 the other day at thrift shop and about a month prior inherited one that a local church got rid of (it needed a new drum unit, which I got for $20 on Amazon). This, combined with these deals, make these very affordable.
Unfortunately, I don't see the coupon to clip any longer despite being signed in.

But if you really have little use for four then just buy a single or two-pack. They probably go on sale too at some point. Like $15 per cartridge is not bad either. And at that use case you should be evaluating price per months of use rather than price per cartridge.
