Activation and setup are two different things, both of which are mentioned in the thread wiki

1. Activation refers to the Metro service line, which you can do online at https://metrobyt-mobile.com/resources/activate [metrobyt-mobile.com] even before you receive the tablet. If you do not activate the line, I believe Metro will automatically activate it 2-3 weeks after shipment.

2. Setup refers to the initial configuration of the tablet. The tablet "requires" you to insert a SIM card before you can proceed with the first step, but you can bypass it with a sequence of taps and a button press.
It makes sense. Can this be any SIM card down the road, with active service or not? What if you have to reset it for example

extending your service cost or free?
yeah its a one time thing where they extend your service for 72 hrs for free. Wait for few mins and it should allow you to order the tab

I have two arriving. Is there any reason to order two more? I'm just trying to figure this out haha.
Wrong question. For $20 each, is there any reason not to [try to] order more [other than Metro from blocking you from doing so]?

Wow good for you, so you added 3 tablets into only 1 account successfully? I already added 1 successfully, but failed to add a 2nd one.

Did you add after activating the first one. I added two easily but for the third one I failed thrice. After that I used the tablet, turning off the wifi, I used the same email address but with a different card to place the third order successfully.

Yes I did activate the 1st one online, then tried to add the 2nd one but if keep failing...I will try a different credit card but I doubt it will work for me.

I mean whats the point of owning these if I'm being honest? Yeah it's a cheap tablet. But it doesn't seem anywhere near fast 😂.

Good for kids to binge watch Youtube or Disney+ so they can leave you alone, also cheap enough so that you don't care if the kids drop it due to their uncontrollable emotions....
