On Facebook marketplace, there is a scam going around with this coffee model. I got scammed by it 2 months ago and I still see a ton of fake listings. The scam is the seller sends your item to the wrong address intentionally and blocks you. Refunds on FB need you to send the seller a message, so they abuse this loophole and FB support doesn't help. Only way out of this is credit card chargeback.

DF54 can absolutely do coarse grinds. The only thing that "limits" the DF54 is the single dose workflow
I bought a Breville sgp at the same time as my in-laws and both broke just after a year of use. I've been using this one for longer and no problems. Motor seems stronger than the breville.

Edit: looking at the photos of these newer grinders, it looks like they did away with the rotating timer on the side and is now a static on or off switch. That's a good move on their part.

Yes, very. It's a high end chain.

Plot twist: the encore also has static and messy cup issues.
I'm wondering how useful the little espresso grind cup is going to be, given the way my older encore works.
It will grind anything hard and dry and bean sized into smaller bits. You don't want to mix coffee and spices though.
I actually want just for spices, not coffee
