Edit: I realize I probably should have mentioned Consumer Reports only gave it a 77/100, which didn't even make their top 15 drip machines. They complained about not being able to take out the carafe while it's brewing, which I believe I could do with my old Zojirushi, and that it needs to be assembled: https://www.consumerrep
To be perfectly transparent....the basket lid was dropped on the countertop both times, but that's really only a 1.5' drop max. The basket just cracked on it's own on the reservoir side, which we think caused the warping of the reservoir.
Granted they also have a warranty, BUT they want you to send the whole machine in and pay shipping which is $50ish. The parts were $20ish for the lids/basket on Amazon and the reservoir...lol I got in Europe for 35 pound, as I couldn't find one here.

Coffee is obnoxious and finicky. Worth it, but man if tea isn't way easier to get a good cup from.
