Is this the death knell of ebags? I know Samsonite has been slowly eroding the 'brand' since they bought it, but this sure feels like the end of days for them.

I agree. I've been wondering the same. I have so many of their bags from sales lately. I also bought the glider as it seemed the same exact thing as the samsonite that is hundreds of dollars. Made of of polycarbonate just like the samsonite too.
If the brand is dying that's a real shame. Some great quality items to be had before they do though. The sale is awesome.
Also thanks for posting, I picked up the laptop slim weekender backpack. I've read mixed reviews but I love the organization of it, at least in the pics, but for 50ish I couldn't say no

I'm using it on a trip now. Solid and fits quite a bit. Great bag, I have already been complimented by airport staff on shape and function/form.
Only thing i don't like is the TSA locking option is built in. It's really great to be honest, but if it ever breaks (which is unlikely, and for $60 I'll take the long term chance), you cannot lock it any other way.
How have you found the support system and straps? I had trouble with my first one, but I struggle with military related back, neck, and shoulder issues.
