The 4100 isn't really high-end but it does run about twice as much as the 1100. The key differences the 4100 has over the 1100 is:
  • stronger brush motor
  • two brushing modes (or intensities)
  • pressure sensor
  • head replacement reminder (aka brush sync technology)
  • more color options

In the end though, both get the job done as far as cleaning your teeth. You'll have to determine whether the other features are worth it to you.
