What mac mini generation would this most closely resemble? Comparable to M1? Is this a good alternative?
Would this be good for basic photo editing and large excel spreadsheets? Seems like that's where 32gb ram would help but not sure about DDR4 vs DDR5 and the impact there.
Assuming this will connect fine with a NAS system? (Preordered the Ugreen NAS box but I'm a newbie here)

Looks like graphics are better with the AMD (which also a bit newer) - but is it meaningful to warrant the extra $100? https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-com...n-7-7735hs

AMD Ryzen 7 CPU/32 GB DDR4/512 GB SSD $300. Extra $30 is worthy, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...RP9NM

Thank you, though I think this Ryzen on Amazon is one generation older even...

People are saying that dealer is suspect though.
This is cheap for what it is - a basic PC in a tiny box. For Plex server (plus PlexPass) type stuff, it's very fast.
This, Passmark: 3400 / 17200
M1 Mini: 3700 / 14200
M2 Mini: 3900 / 15500
