Other people are commenting on this, but not answering your question. High frame rate is more of a gaming thing and this isn't really a gaming monitor. If you're using your monitor for work, you don't need >60 Hz. Personally, while I very easily notice the difference between 30 Hz and 60 Hz, I find the step from 60->120 Hz to be a lot less noticeable, so I wouldn't pay a lot more for 120 Hz, even for gaming.

120+ Hz combined with 4K is pretty expensive. I did a quick search and only found one MSI monitor that had that combination at this price point.
If you don't understand the point of this monitor, it's not for you. It's an older panel, but well reviewed and excellent color coverage for professional production work in general, for the price. These have a good rep with professional creators and people who process photo / video. And that's the point. The refresh rate was not the focus of this panel.
Hope you're not playing games at work

Shame it's 60hz. What's even the point?

Not at all. The other is a basic VA panel, while this is an IPS panel and of a higher quality.

Was it this monitor? There are many reasons while your experience was subpar, 60 Hz might not have been the reason.

I bought this monitor about a year and a half ago and I ended up returning it, for me it was not bright enough to use in a bright room.

It's trash. The usbc died in the second month and returned it. It was the only monitor that died on me in 30 years
