But with a callout
> Need to call out that Model 3 is a base RWD Model 3 vs Polestar with the free Dual Motor / Pilot upgrade. Also taxes and fees are excluded.
I like EV's a lot (currently own 2)… rented a Polestar 2 for a week while traveling and really hated it. Felt super small inside and did not make good use of the interior space like most other EV's do. We had heard good things about Polestars and were surprised how much we didn't like it. It was such a treat to return home to our Bolt EUV.
Volvo side brand

You just cover the payoff. You won't have to true up the interest off the money factor.
A lot of folks that don't qualify for the EV rebates lease the car they want with the commercial rebate baked in and they buy it out in a couple months. Just pay the couple payments and the bit of interest.
"Polestar, an all-electric premium car brand established in Sweden, was previously part of Volvo Cars before being spun out into an independent entity. Polestar was initially 50.5% owned by Geely Holding and 49.5% by Volvo Cars.[
In February 2024, Volvo Cars transferred 62.7% of its stake of Polestar and it is currently 72% owned by Geely Holding and 18% by Volvo Cars."
75% of Volvo is owned by Geely so its basically just a Chinese EV.
24 months, I had a tough time getting the Kona because I like the style and the performance of polestar 2 more. But Hyundai makes a solid EV and they make good use of the space inside the car, which was one thing I didn't like about polestar 2. I got 15k miles per year on the Kona, the polestar was 10k miles per year.
Pretty sad people thumbs down a response haha, some people just thumbs down everything.
I looked at the Konas but I didn't see any have AWD. Is that correct? they are all FWD?
I see the Ioniq 5 has AWD may look at those. I have a test drive tomorrow with my daughter fur the polestar
Ya the dealerships near me weren't doing a deal on the ioniq 5 because it was the wrong model that is advertised. They wanted $277 a month and $3500 due at signing for the ioniq 5 lease. My only options were the kona electric for about half the price of the ioniq 5 or wait 3 months until the next ioniq 6 comes in if they're running a deal on it still
Has anyone completed the deal? Does the down and monthly payment advertised include the acquisition fee? That alone is close to another $1k to factor in

Theres a ton of fees when i called. It ends up being 3500k down for me

No. The dealer sent me a quote on a Long Range Dual Motor + Pilot + Plus (MSRP $60,150), which turned out to be $2,480.22 Down and $616.63/mon.

I rented a polestar and bolt each for a month. The bolt had a little bit more space but the handling was terrible. I felt like I was driving a Prius.
The difference between what they wholesale it for and what is still owed.
Most leases (except Tesla) have a buyout price. Based on residual value and payments still owed.
When you cancel early they will sell it at auction and you owe the difference between what it sells for and the buyout.
If you have a lot of miles and/or abused the car it will sell for less and you owe more.
You could try selling to a third party if allowed like Carvana and might come closer to buyout or even make money like during crazy Covid pricing.
So there is no standard penalty for "breaking the lease". Too many variables
