The latency on these cheaper ones are a little high for fps and other quick reaction gaming. That said, I've played plenty of Mario Kart and Co-op couch games with people and it's not been terrible.
It could have 2,000 lumens of brightness and it still wouldn't be adequate for outdoor during the day. Think about How useful a flashlight is during the day outside. Same principal
