Also, the paste is showing as $4 for me now, not $3.
It's actually a 'hidden' condiment in most KBBQs, since it's not in the menu, they don't openly offer it, but if you ask them they have it most of the time.

There is a very obvious earthy taste to it and overall it is not bad but I would not pay more than $3 for it. It is just meh to all right overall.
Haven't tried the Tteokbokki yet... I'm not sure if we want Ssamjang either - we have some in the fridge that is barely touched so when I asked me wife she was kind meh about this. If you need Ssamjang, this seems like a decent deal. They have other interesting items but it seems a bit pricey to begin with.
