If you're going to CA just for Disneyland, you'll probably save money overall if you book a trip to Japan instead. Everything in Japan is much cheaper, such as food, hotel, transport. Plus you get the benefit of traveling to one of the best tourist destinations vs shithole california

Only downside is that you might miss out on a traditional social event taking place in SoCal Disneyland each summer where a pack of family moms fight it out in front of the children. You won't see that in Tokyo.

That would work for me but for the other two adults disney asks for ID and would force them to pay the difference.

I just went to Disneyland and California Adventure a few days ago, we got a park hopper but decided against Genie+, and still got to ride practically every single ride at the park. 3 days seems like over kill. I could understand 3 or more days at Disney World, but until the Disney Forward project is completed, you really only need one day in Disneyland, and one day in California Adventure, maximum. It's also a hot dog and hot dog buns problem. To get the full deal, you have to book a minimum of four nights at a Disney hotel, but the tickets are only for three days. So, you basically have to spend one day in your hotel room, and one day slumming around Downtown Disney, if you want to feel like you got your money's worth.

IDK about that. Unless you get there at opening and jump between rides as efficiently as possible, I don't think you can ride all the big stuff in 1 day. But also there's lots of stuff to walk around and check out, and food to eat.

And at least with proper disneyland I am positive you're missing cool/fun stuff to check out if you rush all the rides in one day. California adventure ehhh probably one day is enough lol.

It's honestly not that hard to ride everything in a day at Disneyland if you time it correctly. Maybe you're just bad at planning, but if you go early in the morning, you can knockout all of the rides in Fantasyland in less than an hour. And, if you go during parades, and fireworks, and at the times that people are eating meals, you can practically walk on rides. I got on Radiator Springs Racers, a ride that usually has hours of wait time, in under 20 minutes, and I walked right on the Spider-Man ride at lunch time. Longest wait of the day was Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin, and that was 36 minutes, because there were a ton of Genie+ users in line at the time with their lightning lanes. We even got on Rise of the Resistance in under 30 minutes, and walked right on the Millennium Falcon ride.

Yea I'm not a morning person at all, but I've definitely noticed that disney is way worse after 3pm on weekdays lol.

I didn't know about the "go on a ride at lunch time" thing. That's a neat trick! Bonus: I usually eat lunch later in the day lol. woot

Yeah, if you pack little snack bars and stuff that you can eat in line, you not only save money at the park, but you can ride more rides.
