They're literally giving them away.
Thanks for the explanation of what a rewards program is.

Thanks OP, I was missing physical media for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Nice to have the final disc to complete my collection. Also 4k physical is the best, so very excited to watch in my home theater at high bitrate!

How much do you have to spend to get 1650 points?

Not bad! I picked up Force Awakens 4K since it's hard to find now. They also have Rogue One 4K, but it's the Canadian version. Not a big deal unless you are OCD on seeing French & English text on the case art. lol

The only downside to the Star Wars 4K discs are that they are done in HDR10. All except for The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker. They have DV.

But I'll take bitrate over DV any day. A/V quality always wins on discs.

Don't forget to check all your Disney owned DVDs, Blu-Rays and 4K movies for the card inside to redeem them for more points. They add up fast! You'll be on your way to another free movie in no time!

You get 150 points for a DVD, 200 for Blu-ray.

That's inaccurate. For eligible movies, you'll receive
  • 75+ points per DVD
  • 100 points per Standard Definition (SD)
  • 150+ points per Blu-ray, HD & Multi-Screen Edition (Blu-ray+DVD+Digital Code)
  • 200 points per 4K UHD & 4K Ultra HD (4K UHD+Blu-ray+Digital Code)

And May the 4th be with you.

And if you redeem a Digital Copy through redeemdigitalmovie.com and select iTunes as the retailer it gets added to your Movies Anywhere library as a separate purchase and you get the points again. I'm not sure about GP but choosing Vudu or redeeming directly through Movies Anywhere will not give points if you've already entered the code into DMI.

Not every code has the iTunes option. In fact they've recently been removing it as a choice for codes that used to offer it. And of course your iTunes must be linked to your MA account which must be linked to DMI before you use the code for this to work.

Do you know how to actually redeem this one? I have tried, but it says the reward is locked. Do you have to live in Canada to be eligible?

Yup I'm also having trouble with this redemption. Guess you have to be located in Canada. Shame, it's the only Star Wars movie I'd like to own on UHD disc (and by not paying for it)
