While it was a week overdue if didn't much matter because I purchased it to charge the batteries I rec'd for Christmas that will be used on my Dewalt chain saw or Dewalt leaf blower (also for Christmas, great wife). I won't be using either of the tools until the summer anyway. Back to the charger. It put out a really fast charge and like most Dewalt products it was well made and solid construction. I'm very pleased with the quality and the price.

Not sure if that's common with chargers. I've only had 1 yellow fast charger with the fan and 1 other small black charger. So not a big sample size.

It's kind of common to some fast chargers. Milwaukee one also does it because it's one or few of the coils inside, it's less noticeable on Supercharger maybe because it has a fan that also makes a noise or they have slightly different design that lets them avoid using same issue altogether.

This isn't a deal. I'm over in Ireland, where DeWalt is 2 to 4 times the price and I can get this for €35/$37.

These chargers are cheap because third party vendors split up combo tool kits and sell the pieces separately. That's why they are in bubble wrap instead of a package. Does anyone think there is really enough of a market for a counterfeit charger? Batteries, I get it, they are expensive. Most people get chargers with the kits, so not a huge demand or price like batteries.
