I'm biased as someone who grew up playing Jedi Academy on PC (note: not Outcast), but the freedom to train and use a wide range of force powers (mind trick, super speed, lightning, big ol' force jump were some favorites) was truly groundbreaking in 2003, and I hope it holds up. It also let you host hilarious all-powers-on force-power multiplayer matches (or anything else) if you want.
The ability to choose your lightsabre style (single, staff, duel wield) was the best part for me.

The intricacies of fighting with a lightsabrer in that game. You wouldn't know how pushing sideways and shift and jump at the same time would create a swing that would be useful whenever the enemy sith Jedi attacked or jumping over them and slashing and cutting them would be so incredibly fulfilling until you face the master sith Jedi's.... Heck Jedi outcast 2 even though you rarely fought with the lightsaber, was fun when you finally did.
Oh yeah, great games and hold up well. I like the Jedi Knight Dark Forces II and Mysteries of the Sith, but those are older.. maybe just nostalgia.
I don't know how these play on Switch. They are much cheaper right now on Steam (for PC)
JK: DFII and MotS are definitely dated in terms of mechanics and graphics, but if you have an interest in retro FPS's, check them out. At the time JK was released reviewers were actually calling it one of the best FPS's ever, and it was groundbreaking in its use of plot and immersive environment in an FPS. But it was quickly eclipsed by other games that did it even better and was kind of forgotten. Still it directly paved the way for Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy which are both closely based on it.
