Tempting, but I'm hoping for a repeat of last year's deal of the piano by itself for $469... would be nice to put the saved money toward a better stand and bench.
How does it compare to FP10 ,kawai Es120 or Yamaha p225?

If this is going to be a first piano and your budget is 1k, I'd suggest getting something around this price range and getting a Quest 3. The app Piano Vision is amazing.

"Experience true piano-like feel and response with the FP-30X's 88 weighted hammer action keys, providing a realistic touch that emulates an acoustic piano"

ON a different note... I am learning the keys.... from the world's most okayest guitar players standpoint... Parts of it I find easier other parts not so much.... Im usting a Nektar 61 key | USB MIDI Controller Keyboard and Garageband for the sounds.... I started with a little 2 octave AKAI MPK then I went with a mini 32key Donnor, then up to 49 Key NEKTAR now on to 61 key.......Im getting better (as in chord semiproficiency) but I want something weighted.....

Wish I had gotten this instead of the 10, but it depends on the person - https://slickdeals.net/f/17440794-roland-fp-10-88-key-digital-piano-419-free-shipping?p=170463192#post170463192

The 10 alone is excellent, but most of my complaints of the 10 are solved by the 30. This is what I wrote there about the 10-

Picked one up after some research. The lack of a record/play function on the piano itself killed it for me at full price, but at $444 I can find a workaround. It seems overly negative to me but the fact is, the feel and sound outweigh everything else. Cheapest mint on Reverb is $510, new is 599; looks like it may have released at 499 but 599 is normal now. Early reviews complained of lack of Android version of piano partner 2, but that seems to have changed (albeit at 1.9* rating), and with the app it does bluetooth audio/midi. Actually considering canceling for Alesis Prestige Artist or a Donner...

Pros: Best keyfeel value (same as the more expensive FP-30x graded hammer action), bluetooth wireless midi?, discount, usb-B midi (hopefully compliant?)

Cons: No line out or line in, weak speakers, one weak headphone out, no midi 5pin in/out, no 3 pedal support, no recording/playback, limited polyphony (96???), included pedal is cheap

Upgrade pedal ($55 and half damper capable): https://www.adorama.com/rodp10.html?emailPrice=t

I'm strongly considering selling or returning the 10 for the 30 alone. The bundle is a bonus. Note though that the stand in the bundle technically woks but is not substantial enough for the weight of even the 10.

The 10 feels like a piano and has the same keybed as a 30. It is surprising to me how close it feels to my old upright, from the hammer action to the weighted grading (low keys feel different than high keys, though not quite the same as the pianos I've played)

note: I played piano for around 15 years, classical and jazz, before switching to synths and just recently coming back to piano with the Roland FP-10 and for playing piano it seemed like riding a bike which was surprising to me, the touch and full 88 keys makes a different and I find myself wanting to practice and play around with it

<blockquote>Nattefrost<p>How does it compare to FP10 ,kawai Es120 or Yamaha p225?</p></blockquote><p>

From what I've seen, the FP30x has exactly the same action as the FP10. If you always play through headphones, there will be no difference in sound quality between the two. The FP10 has the benefit of being a lot lighter and a little smaller vs the 30x. </p><p>I think the FP10 has a better UI to select the piano sounds. There's few enough sounds for each key to have the sound effect written above it. </p><p>On the FP30x, you need to hold down the sound effect category hotkey and hit unlabeled keys until you find the option you want. </p><p>I almost got the FP10, but found a used FP30x for the same price. It was sitting in a Guitar Center for 6 months and management slashed the price by a lot </p>

I got this bundle last time and agree the stand is too light and flimsy for the weight of the 30. It feels really unstable. Already thinking of upgrading it. Pedal is fine but not much better than the included one. Headphones are mediocre.

I went for the P225, the FP30X seems like better technology overall (Bluetooth midi, more sounds, etc) but I preferred the lighter action of the P225

These Adorama deals typically only last from Friday-Sunday. I'm sure the deal will be back. Use the search function and you'll see this (or similar) deals pop up pretty regularly from Adorama. If you missed out, add an alert and you'll likely be able to snag one.

Thanks for the insight... Got to keep up the practice before I'll spend the coins for something weighted.. though I still want it...if I delay the gratification I'll appreciate it...
