I think this is a good price for the tool-only @ $285. If I saw this first I would have went this route.
This is a rare deal, so if you've been waiting for this, now is the time to buy!!

You need to replace your blade .. I've never had this issue and I use this saw almost daily

I meant to post that to the packout radio thread, not here.

I've 3d printed a little TPU 'dust hose adapter' ring for my Makita track saw which helps hold the hose snug. Didn't need to do that for the M18.
Rip 8x4 3/4 ply about once a week and have never had it bog down and always get through in one pass on the factory blade. You're doing something wrong.
Not OP, but I can give an answer for why it IS worth it: a desire to avoid having to use a table saw unless necessary. I have a pretty nice table saw (with dado capability), but they'll eat your lunch in the blink of an eye with a momentary lapse of judgment. Track saws are much safer and can cut like lasers.. just not as quick/repeatable as a table saw.
They're a pretty standard size blade for track saws.. Makita/Milwaukee blades are interchangeable but you'll want to be mindful of blade kerf thickness vs your splinter guard.

What's better the makita or milwaukee? I'm on both platforms already
How's the XGT? I haven't seen reviews comparing XGT to milwaukee
