I purchased that deal too $429.99 on May 2nd. I called Costco just now and they mentioned that all those who purchased the Southwest gift cards before the further $10 price drop will automatically receive an email with a Costco gift card for the $10 per gift card that they can use in store or online !

PSA for families or those who book for multiple people: yes you can add the funds to your SW account by booking a refundable fare and cancelling, and those credits do not expire, as noted above.

HOWEVER, those credits can only be used on your own tickets now. I.e., in gift card form you could apply the GC to your entire family's tickets, but in flight credit form you can only apply amount to tickets in your own name.

Interesting. My representative said that I will get a $10 credit back to my original form of payment. We'll see what actually happens.

What do you mean all three of your orders? You can only make one order with this deal and can purchase up to five cards on that order.

You can only purchase one per transaction but up to 5 per account. I accidentally used my old expired card, seems weird that that they are not verifying cards when placing the other but only before actually processing them. Now my orders are being cancelled due to buying too many and one actually went through at full price without the discount applied.

It took 12 minutes for the gift card to deliver in email. It drops in plain text for the voucher and the PIN code so make sure you use it and don't let it sit in your email.

This is the most useful post in this entire thread. There are at least a dozen posts all suggesting to purchase a ticket and cancel, but no one mentioned this gotcha.

Same . I had asked for price adjustment after price dropped to $429.99 on May 2nd. Got that approved and difference credited on original form of payment. Then again price dropped yesterday by $10. I again asked price adjustment and it went through today morning. Received $10 credit on my visa.
