I flashed Merlin on it too and can highly recommend it. Stable router so far. Fast speeds reliable.

have same and have not flashed suppose I'll need to look into that however it's been great ove the last year. we lose power here often and it just comes back up and running no issues..

BB page is showing deal ending in less than an hour. Amazon is price matched but no recycle discount, however Prime Visa nets ~$11 off total spend. I'm probably going to jump on this with Amazon as the 170 price has been so rare and never guaranteed.

I already have an iteration as well as my parents and they are rock solid!

Local store would only give me 15% off the retail price, putting this at $212.50. I guess that falls under the fine print of some stores having additional limitations?

click download top right corner -> Main download sites -> RT-AX86U_PRO folder -> RELEASE -> latest date which is RT-AX86U_PRO_3004_388.7_0.zip

download and unzip it to your desktop

now that you have the file on your desktop ready u go into your router setup which you do by typing http://www.asusrouter.com/ into your browser like Chrome, Firefox or whatever you use.

Once you logged into your router, on the top right there is a section called FIRMWARE. Click on that and on the next window click on MANUAL FIMRWARE UPLOAD and select the file you extracted to your desktop.
