I don't get all the hate for delivery services. Nobody is making customers use them. Nobody is forcing restaurants to do business with them. Nobody is making drivers work for them.
There are the people who rage against these services for 'scamming the restaurant' and those who do it because 'it's a waste of money.' The latter people have always been around but the former opinion has to be led by young people who didn't experience the world >20 years ago. They act like delivery from restaurants has always been a thing but these services have taken over and strong armed the restaurants into losing money. Kids, restaurants didn't deliver food. It was never a thing. You wanted food delivered? You had two choices: Pizza or Chinese. Delivery services have made it so that restaurants can sell more food. That's it. They're a net benefit. If they weren't then the restaurants would stop using them. No restaurant is out there losing money from every meal they sell through door dash. If they were then they would go bankrupt and have no one to blame but themselves.
While I appreciate your insightful and eloquently stated analysis, as a new father, I find Doordash (and other meal delivery options) to be invaluable. I always pick up giftcards that are on sale.
Same except DD isn't great for me. I don't use Google for my email and continually, when trying to use GCs, I got flagged for being suss and after having my orders cancelled 5 times over a few weeks I gave up. There's about $75 sitting there for me to find the time and patience to try again.

Congrats! People with disabilities also rely on these services. It's a shame that in some parts of the country the price has gone up around 100% in the past 5 years.

jeez this is a much better sale for Vudu giftcard than the one from newegg.
Note: Bought Google play $50 giftcard. Will be using that to pay for Google storage subscription. I need the 2 TB plan. It's too bad they don't offer 1 TB plan.

I'm sorry, I don't follow how your comment relates to my experience of having trouble using their gift card?
Tipping culture in the US is messed up. Tips aren't required. If you don't like that, get a real job then.
I agree with this one...I mean, if you're talking about Doordash tips. I don't understand why we have to tip for them to deliver. It's like amazon, UPS, USPS, FedEx delivery drivers. We don't tip them. It's entirely different with restaurant servers or salons. They provide service directly in front of us.

Are you really comparing food delivery to getting mail delivered. 😂. One comes from a giant warehouse and they pick up like 500 orders at once. And generally can deliver it anytime they feel like it over a day or 2. If you want it quicker it costs way more than food delivery does. One requires someone to be standing there ready for the food and usually only runs with 1 order or 2 at a time. Picking from locations all over town. Having to handle food and drinks and keep things from spilling over. And try to get it to you before it goes cold.
Real solid deal if you can stack with Amazon discover $10 off $75 promotion. Only issue is you have to buy two different $50 GCs from different brands or one $100 one (if it's offered). The Discover offer is for $75, but there's no $25 offers, and you can't put two $50 GCs in your cart to stack the discount for the brand.

It says promo not valid. I tried other cards that give the Amazon credit and they go through.
