Anyone know how the quality would be? I saw a few episodes on a TV rerun and it was washed out.
It looks really good to me. It's in HD and at least from the episodes I sampled it's bright and colorful and has definitely been remastered at some point.
Zulu as Kono. Oh this is a trip, down memory lane. Back in an era where there were 4 sound effects, total, in Hollywood lol. You'll recognize sounds you know and love from Star Trek. But will you watch more than 100 episodes? Hmmm…doubt it.
Check your local library. Lots of libraries have these CDs in their media department. I watched every episode last year. Took me like 6 months. I just got down watching Gomer Pyle. One of the funniest shows ever in tv
Very slight technicality (and it's as complete as we'll ever see), but it's not QUITE complete. The second season episode "Bored, She Hung Herself" is missing. It aired once and was immediately pulled from reruns, syndication, and now home media. There are unauthorized downloads of low quality 16mm prints floating out around there but officially, the episode has been permanently banished. Lots of people have ideas as to why it was pulled (the content of the episode) but I don't think anybody has really confirmed one way or the other what the exact reason is.
I got it—279 episodes. I bit the bullet. I live part-time in Honolulu, and it will be nice to see the old city before all the changes, including hotels and shopping malls. Thanks, good price...

You could also pair it with Magnum P.I. to see the incremental change from ~1980. I lived in Aiea during the run of Magnum and would occasionally see them filming around the island.
