Johnson & Johnson First Aid To Go Portable Mini Travel Kit 12 pieces
Product Description:
Be prepared while you re on the go with this Johnson & Johnson First Aid to Go! travel emergency first aid kit. Available in a durable plastic case it contains 12 essential first aid items and wound care supplies and is the perfect mini size to carry in a purse backpack gym bag car or luggage. This portable mini first aid kit contains two 5-by-7.75-inch Johnson & Johnson Hand Cleansing Wipes four 2-by-2-inch Band-Aid Brand Gauze Pads two.75-by-3-inch Band-Aid Brand Flexible Fabric Adhesive Bandages and four.63-by-2.25-inch Band-Aid Brand Flexible Fabric Adhesive Bandages. It s ideal for travel camping trips vacations sporting events or to keep on hand in the car.
This "first aid kit" is only 6 bandaids, 4 gauze pads, and 2 alcohol wipes - 11.5 cents per item. Bandaids are $0.08 regular priced at sams club and the other included items are similarly cheap. Hard to see the value here unless you really need just a couple bandaids.
somewhere between zero and nothing
How about the little container, what do you value that at?

Throw a tube of Neosporin inside, and these are great for the glove compartment or for traveling. I always carry some bare essentials (including Neosporin) because it's literally a pain to have a small cut start to get infected while you're away from home. Then you're spending time and too much money to buy a full box of bandaids and the Neosporin for $10+.
The little box is vastly superior to a ziploc bag because it actually provides some protection in your luggage/bag and makes it easier to pack and find.
It is not the best deal, but scouts need to build their own first aid kits and include specific items. This is missing many of those items but the case and the included items is a good start. However, if the case is much larger than 5x5x2 then it wont have much utility.
Yeah, it has a little case too, but the one that includes gauze pads is a no-name brand. I don't mind generic for a lot of things, but I've noticed that a lot of those tend to fall off quicker than good quality ones. I wouldn't pay a huge premium, but I'd stick with the J&J one as long as it's this cheap.

It's 4.65" x 4" x 1.11". It's designed as a minimal kit for cuts and scrapes, so there's not going to be room to add much else.

I purchase these for my troop's new scouts to build their personal first aid kit. And instead of moleskin, I have them include Nexcare waterproof bandages. Works as well as moleskin and more versatile.

You don't have any little container laying around from... idk, from anything else you've ever purchased in your life that you can repurpose as a small first aid container?

I mean, seriously, it's $2.40.
I do the same (triple antibiotic ointment) plus a small vial of bio-super glue... Case gives some protection so they are still usable when you need it... And a buck back in Wal-Mart cash!
And you have to go get it or pay shipping... 2.38 minus 1$ walmart cash equals 1.38 so for .13 cents (compared to 1.25 at dollar store) it gets shipped to me free... 13 cents of gas in my F-250 super duty with a V-10 won't even fart out a puff of exhaust...

Also, I've seen something very similar to these at Dollar Tree and they were a generic brand, not J&J. And if they happen to have these same kits at one, you never know if you'd actually find them at another store. I have no problem with Dollar tree stuff, but I'd definitely opt for J&J if it's actually a comparable price. I've gotten cheap bandaids before and they often tend to fall off much easier, especially on fingers where they move and flex.
Oh wow! It happens both ways, unfortunately. I needed some Sta-bil a couple days ago and Amazon's normal price was like $8, while Home Depot is $15. Definitely need to stay vigilant nowadays!
