The little box is vastly superior to a ziploc bag because it actually provides some protection in your luggage/bag and makes it easier to pack and find.
I mean, seriously, it's $2.40.
It is not the best deal, but scouts need to build their own first aid kits and include specific items. This is missing many of those items but the case and the included items is a good start. However, if the case is much larger than 5x5x2 then it wont have much utility.

Oh wow! It happens both ways, unfortunately. I needed some Sta-bil a couple days ago and Amazon's normal price was like $8, while Home Depot is $15. Definitely need to stay vigilant nowadays!
