I've got hose. I've got hose. In different area codes. In different area codes...

I own the mid-tier model of this hose reel, and it's prob the best out there for the price. The hose length rating is for a normal "thin" garden hose. So if you are using a commercial or thick garden hose, expect to get about 50%-60% of the capacity since they are much thicker. I would caution that if your connect has one of those metal spring spirals or four in thick plastic sleeve to prevent crinkling, that hose will not work. The connector would stick out and not reel in correctly. Watch a YT video on the assembly. It's very sturdy, and worth the money, but it's built for regular garden hoses without various anti-crinkle features. If you do get this, I recommend getting a few sets of quick releases... you put that on the water facets, hose connector to the faucet, it makes life a lot easier if you want to move to different locations. Same if you have different sprayer heads or connect to a pressure washer.

Just bought the 200' version a couple weeks ago for $10 more. The build quality of these is amazing

I think going by the reviews it does come with it. Hoping someone can confirm
No…. The hose is not included… Included IS a 6ft heavy duty leader hose (the hose you run from the spigot to the reel itself)

In for 2. Hoping this works and last a long time. I like the idea of wheels to move around and bring the hose closer.

Do they all come with the bottom tray for accessories or just the 225 size?

Priced matched at HD in person. Box for the 200' version shows it does have a tray.

Can you share what type of hose you use with it? I have costco garden hoses that are very thick, and its almost impossible to reel up with the plastic one. I understand the plastic quality is garbage compared to this, but how well does reel up thick hose?
The hose lead is about three feet or a meter long. I'm using really thick 100 ft rubber hose with mine. it has a metal connection to garden hose outlet with rubber anti bent

I'd like the cheaper 200' version but would also like the tray. The model number and look of the one at Walmart is different than the 200' one at HD. Did they not look at it closely or did they just not care when you were price matching?

Aluminum and stainless and brass fittings. I swear the reel has ball bearings. Even the hose that connects to the reel is top notch heavy duty no kink and long with brass fittings.
Just bought mine two weeks ago @ $170 with tax. Put in a refund and will return the new one unopened when it arrives.
Thanks OP

I was looking at a hose reel at Sam's Club (https://www.samsclub.com/p/member.../P03013019). I like the price of the Sam's Club one better but the Gorilla one looks nicer and after reading some of the reviews on the Sam's Club one it seems like it might rust.

Anyone have the Sam's Club one and can comment on the rust factor?

I still can find the reason to have one of these if you need a hose for multiple areas and pressure washing (directions on water supply should have no restrictions in flow) etc. I have the flexilla hoses and if this has any kind of level wind guide, the connections between hoses would not fit thru the mechanism. AM I missing something? PS I have multiple hose bibs around the house.....

If it's steel, it will eventually rust.

Looks like with the Walmart variants, only the 225' has the tray and guide.

There are two models of the 200' that Gorilla makes. One has the guide and tray (GRM-200G), the other doesn't (GRS-200H).

Also have flexzilla hoses, but bought the 225' anyway. Will see if it fits through the guide and if not I'll return

Do you have an example?
You can go on Amazon and search for "Garden Hose Quick Connector, Solid Brass Quick Connector and Disconnector 3/4 Inch Male and Female Water Hose Fittings". There are a bunch of different options from various vendors. If you want to have a tighter seal with the faucet, I also recommend getting ones with silicone gasket if they offer it ("Garden Hose Washer Gaskets Made from Soft Silicone", or just buy a pack of silicone gaskets when you order the quick connects. Silicone should last longer than rubber gasket. Silicone is softer which should provide a better seal, and shouldn't dry out (and eventually crack causing a drip, or at least it'll least longer).
