HOW TO DO IT:
1. Add one Impact Driver 2760-20 item to cart with the actual location you want to pickup at.

2. Go back to the product page for the Impact Driver 2760-20. Select a different pickup location and then add it to cart. Adding a second Impact Driver gets you the best deal.

3. Add 48-59-1880 (Battery starter pack) item to cart.

4. DO NOT SELECT DELIVERY TO HOME. Remember that you need to pickup the Impact Driver at a Home Depot location. Make sure the other Impact Driver and Battery pack are set to a different Home Depot location. This will allow you to pickup ONLY the one Impact Driver at one store, and then you can cancel the other items that would be ready at a different store.

5. Place the order.

6. Cancel the items you don't want. Text SUPPORT to 38698 or call for online order support at 1-800-430-3376. (I'd do the text option, it is super, super easy). You are able to cancel the unwanted items right away before they get shipped or prepped for pickup, so cancel soon after you order.

Can you explain how it is 'stealing' for an item you already paid for? HD automatically gives a prorated price for the separate items on the receipt, so nothing is technically free. If they weren't allowed to be returned separated, they would make it a single line item OR list the item price as $0.00 for the 'free' item. HD regularly offers combo 'free item' deals where the other item(s) are not prorated (and a single item on the receipt) and cannot be returned separately.
Given how long they've been offering both types of deals, it seems impossible they would not be aware customers return items in the first type of deal.

Can I just let the other items sit at the other location and they eventually cancel on their own? Not super concerned with an immediate refund just as long as I get it

Yes, but it may take a while. It's up to the individual store, but they don't seem to adhere to canceling/refunding in a timely manner after the 'pickup deadline' passes.

I was able to cancel the remaining items online under the order details. I did this after picking up the the driver from the store nearest me. Easy peasy

Seems like a good deal. However, for those wondering how this driver compares to the Milwaukee 2953-20 and a few pros and cons of this driver, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg8e-Dgtj6s

Basically, this driver has a lot less torque that the 2953-20, but is still quite powerful and quieter.
I am on the fence on the two drivers, but this price is tempting.

Not sure why you were downvoted but this worked for me too. You have to login on an actual computer to do it though. Wouldn't let me on the phone app

I also just did the same thing but for the M-18 high output starter kit with 8ah battery and rapid charger (48-59-1880) ordered two of the impact at a different store and this battery at mine and got it for $147 instead of $250 after cancelling the two impacts. I realize this isn't a great price but needed an impact for a project today.

Unfortunately the surge has way less torque than the regular one...I have both and hardly use the surge. It is quiter tho
