Most places that have this circular saw have it down to $129. However, Ohio Power Tool includes a free Power Stack starter kit (DCBP034C ) with purchase. Shipping is free. This is not going to beat deals from a couple years ago, but as someone who has had their eye on this saw, I finally pulled the trigger. I tried to get HD to match so that I could pick it up, but they said they couldn't match the promo. This same deal has also been going in and out of stock at Blain's Fleet and Farm. Acme Tools includes the starter kit but it is $179.

How is this with cutting 2x4s or wood deck boards? Need to replace a few boards. Thanks!

2x4 materials is great... the blade maxes at about 1.75 depth. Use this to break down sheet goods and also for deckboards all the time... lighter than a normal CS and the "barrel grip" handle configuration makes holding against a square or fence simple!

Thanks for the info. I have some 2x4s and 2x6 that I need to cut.

If I had a reason for a second one and I could hold them in both hands like a modern day powered up Edward Scissorhands, I'd jump on it, but the one I have works wonderfully and I brag this tool up to everyone when I get to use it. The fact it has a blade brake is great too for setting up multiple cuts at a time quickly.

Atomic, XR, MAX... The conventions get a little confusing after a while, particularly when you look across venders. Just sayin

Not sure how much I need this saw. I bought it thinking it would be light, but it's still relatively heavy. I have the 60V saw and they're about the same weight. It's longer, too, obviously. Not sure how much I'll use it. I just thought it would be lighter like my B&D Matrix saw attachment, which is extremely light, about 1/3 the weight, but only about 3/4" cut depth.

I'm not sure which version you have but I have the 60v worm style saw that I use almost daily and this is MUCH lighter.

I'm not sure if you can cancel your order but I also dropped the link to farm and fleet for the same deal. It looks like they have it in stock and ready to ship

Where is the link to farm and fleet?

Ah that stinks, if you don't feel like waiting I think you could probably have Acme Tools PM. They are selling this combo for $179 right now and have a price "guarantee." You will have to pay shipping with them but its like $6 or something like that.

Also, have them email you when it comes back in stock. Sometimes they will re-stock

This has become one of my favorite tools. Most of the wood I use is under 1" thickness and I will use this saw before a circular.

Bonus is if you have to break down a lot of boxes each week like me this thing blows through so fast with no effort at all. I have the mini Rockwell that I usually use but it's a lot slower and more effort. Only downside is it does make a big mess. But it's worth it

For boxes I use Worx zip snip.https://www.amazon.com/WX082L-Cor...B019CSHSW8. I paid $24 for it. Its safe for daily box cutting.
