Woot![woot.com]has Simply Filters MervFilters Merv 8 AC Furnace Filters on sale from $28.99 for 6-Pack or $51.99 for 12-Pack. Shipping is free w/ Prime, otherwise, there is a $6 flat ship fee per order.
Various sizes, but all only 1 inch deep. Should update post OP. Thank you though.
I get a feeling these aren't going to get there three-dimensionally stable..Bent... Anyways, it's getting around summertime anyway so you want to run the Merv 4 and then just make sure your evaporative coil is clean on your furnace. If you've got that much debris flying around in your air, you need to grab a couple of those air cleaners that I've got three of them and a couple Vornados
I bought these exact filters last year on Amazon. The quality is good, and I was about to stock up for 1-2 years, but thought to compare prices to what I paid before. The prices here on Woot are comparable or higher to what I paid in August!
I may still get a box but this may not be much of a deal.
Just Rhonda Merv 1:00 to 4:00 and then clean your evap coil or your a coil or end coil as you should every season. Anyways, you're going to get much better air flow with less than a Merv 8. You don't need that much filtration unless you literally have 10 micron dust flying around in your air. If you're in a rental run MERV 1....
I need a filter brand 19.5 by 29.5. I don't even know why they made the return this size when most of the filter brands that I come across are 20 x 30.
Your filter most likely is a 20x30. They are always 1/4"-1/2" smaller than the stamped size.
Can I double up these? My Carrier furnace uses a proprietary 3" thick filter that costs $130...
No you can not. You can put a smaller size in thickness in, but you never want to stack smaller to make the thickness of what the filter rack is for as you'll almost certainly have airflow issues and possibly cause the unit to trip on high limit in heat or ice up the evaporator coil in cooling and possibly slug the compressor with liquid and damage it or kill it.

That's the actual measurement of many 20x30 filters. If you look at homedepot or lowes filter measurements under specifications, you'll see the "actual size" on many of the larger filters is actually 1/2" short. I just found that out yesterday myself after measuring my filter at 13.5 x 29.5 and then looking it up.
this work great, i have them bought couple packs when it was on sale on Amazon. Still using today. Thinking getting a few more to last for couple more years.

I purchased a 20x30 filter that didn't fit.

HDX merv 8 filters are comparable in price

Anyone get the chance to compare these side by side?
I buy higher quality Merv 11 1000-1200 MPR filters for about $8 (6 pack) more all the time …
Also it's $29.99 for all (22 of the 23) but the absolute smallest filter… for the 6 packs… not to haggle over a buck but this is SD😀
The 12 packs differ even more in price as they get larger…
