I really want to love this monitor as the picture quality is great and for this price it's the cheapest and most featured 5k monitor. But the coil whine! I already on the 4th monitor from Samsung and they all have or develop coil whine within a week! Driving this from an m2 Mac Pro. Anyone has a fix?

yes, same S9. Had manufacturing dates from Nov'23 to Apr'24. I just got another one delivered today, lol. No whine so far! Maybe it's the lucky one - will see. The coil whine on the previous ones was warying from really noticeable to subtle. I can imagine some people may not notice, especially if they have other noise but for me it was really noticeable and annoying, especially in a quiet room.

What's the manufacturing date of the monitor without audible coil whine?

Does the white start right away or it happens after a few days? Do you leave your monitor on all day?
Do you have a video or link on how it sounds so we know ?

Also what type.of connection are tou using or did tou try different connections? Minidp to dp? Usb c to dp or usb c to usb c ? (Mac or windows?)

it is Jan'24. So far so good :-) This was last one I was going to try. Already given up and got the Apple Studio Display from a recent Amazon deal. Now need to decide which one to keep.

Some monitors had the whine right away, but some developed it within a week.

Which site/program you use to test the monitors for dead pixels etc..

Os it still working fine? How did you exchange it, do you have to do that in the initial 15 days return period?
