Yes and no - $250 is the everyday price of this now it appears. $230 is the "sale" price that it occasionally drops to if that makes sense.

This is the one area where microsoft dropped the ball. $230 for a 2tb drive at this point is just ridiculous. Got a 2tb for the ps5 for less than $100 on sale. That cfe port and contract with seagate is making things silly.

The adapter (nvme to CF-express) retails 10-15 bucks. Inside is an 2230 nvme that can do 3000MB/s. Sea and WD can make it even cheaper. MS is stupid to allow them selling at this price point as it definitely hurts game sales.

Your right about price being silly. As far as the adapter, I know they sell them but I have seen many claim that either they don't work correctly or they only work with specific drives (as in 1 single drive) due to MS firmware / sync issues. Are you running an adapter on a un modded series S /X presently?
