I love my Roku and don't want to have to run a separate second computer just for Plex.

It's not all piracy.
I mean it's a LOT, but it's not all
Just hit my 1521+ last month.
FWIW, Synology was zero help.
or are they still have issues with the 5 bays only?
no issues on both of my DS1819+
These folks use a lot of circular and backwards logic to justify what they're doing, but it all comes down to a simple fact -- it's not legal.

Leave sour puss alone I guess.

I use it for my photography. Works fine with my photos and 4k videos. I'm not sure why it is assumed everyone uses Plex for illegal things. It is fabulous to show my clients some of the work in progress right from my phone. No laptop, no thumb drives, no blah blah. Just a phone, an app, and an internet connection. If I tried to store all that on my phone, well…… I couldn't as they don't make that kind of phone space plus moving the files over the wire to my phone? Just no. You should research ways to use it. Plenty of options. I also share some of my photo collections with family this way. Get out of your bubble, bud.
me too! in for 1. thanks OP
I have the same question also. I found a post on Reddit that says you can get around that restriction https://www.reddit.com/r/synology...rd_d
