Off hand, maybe you have video you want to capture off a device like a VCR? Could you get RCA to HDMI to capture?

I would think for capturing VHS you'd want something with RCA/S-Video/Component inputs. I don't think there were any high end VHS players that would be desirable for converting VHS to digital that had HDMI outputs.

I bought a knock off called "VIXLW Cam Link 4K" on Amazon for 29.99. I use it to connect a mirrorless camera and use it as a webcam. I have had no issues at all.

personally rec the evga xr1 pro.. you can disable the hdcp protection via evga's software. it's buried in their forums some where.

i've tried all those "DON'T BUY BEFORE YOU LOOK AT THIS CHEAP CAPTURE CARD" youtube recs... they're all actual trash. ppl who you say they're good must not have eyes... fooled by youtube sponsored videos

I've been using the HDML Clonerbox Evolve from ClonerAlliance for years, it eliminates all copy protection. plug in a firestick or roku and record anything you can stream. I have tried the cheap ones as well, but they all have issues.

i use this to connect directly to my Sony ZV-E10 Camera to use as a webcam on my mac. Everyone i speak to is floored by how clear my image is. 10/10 would recommend, especially if you use this for a business. Quality matters and when someone speaks to me about my business, I appear to have my act together! Also, if anyone needs help buying a car, checkout my company, The Driveway Concierge! Haha

Those platforms support streaming natively. You don't need this.
