No it's courtesy of the SlickDeals system. No idea how it got to it. MSRP is $500.

Can you provide any evidence of this? Seems like fear mongering to me.

I believe they are referring to ACEMGIC recently having been caught having malware pre installed on their machines

Yes and let's pretend windows and the hardware itself doesn't have backdoors.

It's a barebones champ. You have to add your own RAM, Hard drive and OS.
You should've said support is bad.

Welcome to the tinfoil hat hour where big Asia is trying to steal my Netflix password and my paper route money.

He is brainwashed. AMD is a us company and microsoft is as well.
you are talking apples and organges bro, carefully read what i stated "...Chinese built..." they can use US brands part that is Made in China and loaded up any malwares they want regardless if its AMD, Intel, or Microsoft, thats a very common logic, you can buy anything you want, its your money, but this is legit concerns from multiple sources

I wonder what Linux support is like on these things. It's decent power in a small package for the price.

Because you aren't giving them the subject (ACEMAGIC) of your accusations. You can't just drop that without explanation.

I bought an AceMagician i5-12450H minipc recently that was a steal of a price on Amazon. The company has shipped RAT malware in their OS builds in the past. I knew that and set up the computer initially isolated from everything without any passwords. It did have the malware files present on the system, but they were not running. I cleared it out to be able to activate windows and then I reinstalled windows from an ISO I downloaded from Microsoft. End result is a nice minipc for next to nothing that is clean.

As long as you approach these Chinese made minipcs that way, you're good.
