This was Brooks attempt at a performance running shoe with supercritical foam and it was underwhelming. It has a traditional flattish geometry. The EVA has little bounce. The fit in the midfoot runs narrow. I found it uncomfortable in the arch. It's not worth buying even at this price unless you favor old-school style running shoes. The better tempo and trainers of today have superfoams such as TPEe/PEBA, forefoot rockers, and plates. Compared to shoes with those innovations the Hyperion Tempo looks downright archaic.

This is not Hyperion Tempo. This is the follow up shoe, just Hyperion. That said, it doesn't get great reviews and probably worth only getting at this sale price. I like my Hyperion Tempo for workouts and some 10k training effort races and will stick with those for now.
