I'll never pay $1k for a chair, but those StaplesMax chairs for $150 and under are crap and technology has little to do with that argument. $300 is a genuine entry price for getting something that starts to resemble quality.

Got this chair back in 2020 for around the same price when I started working from home. Absolutely love the chair and haven't had any issues with it so far.

Excellent chair, bought two with the headrest back in Oct 2020 for around $300 and still going strong. I work from home for more than 10 hours and still as good as new. Have been wfh for more than 12 years and use to change chairs every few years and this one is still going strong.

I don't have that chair but I have do have the WorkPro 1000 (original office chair, now work/repair bench chair) and also a Union Scale FlexFit Kroy chairs (PC gaming desk chair), both in the $100-ish range and can say that the 9000 (current office chair) is more durable than the other two but that you might not need that durability.

The 9000 is really well built and I could see it lasting 10+ years of heavy use without any major problems. But for me, it was overkill since I'm not really a large or heavy person and don't really get up/sit-down/move around a lot. The only thing I don't like about the 9000 is the arm rests move the horizontal angles too easily.

I have the version that has a cushion bottom but mesh back and it's been holding up well for the past four years.

Save a copy of your receipt they will ask for it if you need a replace part under warranty. The office depo link to your receipt will eventually expire.

i have this bought 2+ years ago. very solid, superb seating comfort.

i had 100$ chairs(with cushion) etc.. they get out in an year or two. but this one is really solid.

yes. price is highter close to $300, but it worth in my experience.
