It looks like the only difference between This and The one I bought is a single RAM chip. That would allow me to buy a second 16GB rather than having to replace both 8GB chips I got. I haven't opened the box yet. Do I try to return?
I was thinking about the Legion Pro 5i Gen 9 with an Intel Core i7-14700HX processor but this one has the same specs except for the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor for $350 less. I'm admittedly an Intel fanboy but $350 is pretty good savings. In for one!
I bought Gen 8 Legion Slim 5, Ryzen 7 7840H/4060 which only came with 16GB/512Gb SSD for $1000. For $200 more i swapped SSD with Samsung Pro 2TB and bumped RAM to 32GB.
So far its working great and love playing AAA games on it

Yeah, they are quite nice. I have a very similar one I just bought and it's great!
16GB (1x 16GB) SO-DIMM DDR5-5600
If you don't need 32gb I would keep the g16.
If you bought open box I'll be honest I would consider extended warranty those g14/16's aren't the most reliable.
