Check the "clearance" price for your HD, online. IF your store is showing the $50 clearance price online, but not instore, ASK FOR THE MANAGER to override the price to $50.
Uploaded picture of vacuums on sale. I found mine at 11725 Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19116. Brickseek link below...
50.03 priced items supposedly drop down to a penny within 3 weeks. Keep an eye out and snag one before the employees do lol
One left at the Linden NJ store. Sitting in the front by the power tools. I grabbed one and left the other.
It's nice that their website now shows the Clearance stuff. Availability is still iffy like using brickseek, but it shows if your local store has it on clearance which mine does for $50.03. Thanks, OP

Man I'm thinking I screwed up. I know the website price can be discrepant versus in-store, but used one of the price scanners in the store and it was $200. The price checkers can really be different from the register?
Absolutely. I used the price checker and it showed $199, then took it to the register where it rung up $50.
SD effect... Thanks OP, now I have 4 perfectly functioning wet dry vacs, the newest uses a 40v battery I don't even have... But it was the last one at my HD and $50 😁
Hoping this post helps save some of you a little trouble. I was in the market for a replacement shopvac (mostly for car use). Was about to grab a Rigid as they are the runaway favorite for car detailing (especially when paired with their car detailing accessory package). Then this deal hit. I was lucky to snag one at the 2nd HD store I checked. $50 is definitely a slickdeal for this $200 retail machine. For me, I already had a 40V batt and charger from my Ryobi mower.
I had two pre-purchase concerns: 1. Would this thing have decent suction (I could not find a HP rating anywhere). 2. Would it be able able to handle vacuuming my entire car on a single charge.
First, the suction; fantastic! I have a white bulldog and black carpeting in my car...the ultimate vacuum test. It passed with flying colors. I was completely impressed as I started using it.
Second, the battery life; abysmal. I spent about 5 minutes hitting the front driver's side. Moved the seat forward and went around to the rear driver's side, within 30 seconds the battery was fully depleted.
Full disclosure, my battery is far from new. I've had it for maybe 7 years, so this may not be the fairest test. However, despite its age, the battery powers my mower long enough to handle both my front and back yards with juice left to spare, which leads me to believe all that suction comes with some high energy demands.
I'll be repackaging this beast and returning it post haste.

Sorry, not sure on the amp size, but it's not tiny, and as I stated it is old, but has no problem supplying enough juice to mow a small lawn. I run the mower off it for about a half hour and it isn't drained. This vacuum wiped it out in 5 minutes.

It would make all the difference if you share the amp hour size or even the watt hour rating that's listed on the bottom of the battery.
On another note, I was able to vacuum a fairly dirty compact sedan with a 2 year old 5ah that had 3 bars of life. It died right when I finished. I used the high power setting about 80% of the time.
This is rated for 80 cfm which is the exact same rating as the ryobi 6 gal 18v shop vac. I will say that in comparing the 6 gal 18v shop vac to this 40v 10 gallon that they are fairly similar. I was expecting a better suction than the 18v, but I would say they are about the same (as the rating suggests). The 40v is definitely MUCH quieter, which is really nice, but the 40v with a 5ah battery functions almost exactly the same as the 18v 6 gal with a 9ah battery.

That's weird because it rang up as $50 at my store ….

And after 20 min of waiting it rang up at 199 lol 🫠

Is it a new model or just a new listing with higher price?

Mine only came with one filter, so that's a different product
