You're exaggerating man especially for basic consumption. It just need to be a fair price of $300 max for 256GB. 64GB Is indeed horrible for $250 lol

To some other users, myself included, it hardly a fair price but what good is that if it not gonna be effectively useful.
If someone here or else here is gonna be happy with this specific iPad variant for the price and storage alone, more power to them compared to MSRP of the same or upper tier iPad variant
