The A12 in this is from the iPhone 11 days. Great that it's 256gb instead of 32 or 64, but almost $400 for this is a horrible deal.

I think the applicability of this really depends on someone only needing storage. Obviously, the 10th gen iPad is available for less, especially on the education store but there are still some people who will want the storage more than anything else. Word of advice to those people though - you might want to consider just getting a used gen 4 air with the same storage? It obviously wont carry the warranty but the 4th gen air is in many respects better than even the 10th gen iPad.
