I have this in one shower.
Not as convenient as the ones you pull up, but it's been working for 15 years and does not even drip a bit while using it.

"Sweat onto 1/2inch C.W.T. or thread onto 1/2inch IPS"

Check your current one/plumbing - there are a couple different ways these can attach. they are not universal

That's been my experience with mine. It comes with an instruction sticker as it's not really obvious if you've never used this type that you have to pull down on the spout to get water diverted to showerhead, I put the stick on the top of the shower enclosure.

As a plumber for 38 years, there's a learning curve to this spout if you aren't familiar with it.. People can't seem to figure out how to turn on the shower! I'd go, sit on the edge of the tub, turn it on, and then pull down on the spout's end. They were in awe! Wow! What the….! Amazing! Then I give them a bill and say thank you! Love a good easy job. So I'd not recommend putting this in a short term rental, otherwise great product!
