Made in China!
China makes some good rice so it's okay.
I hate that the smaller one is more expensive. I just don't need to make 10 cups of rice ever.

Serious question: What is special/different about these rice cookers when compared to instant pot or Aroma

How does it use fuzzy logic?
1 + 1 = 2. Logic

1:1 amount of hot water with amount of rice, heated to 180 degrees, for about 12 minutes once the temperature is even throughout the pot = properly cooked rice. Fuzzy logic.

Fuzzy Logic includes variables, such as variable amounts of water/rice. Kind of like Chicken + hot sauce = good. Fuzzy logic! Big Grin

From my experience, the instant pot will make rice faster but not as good? My Zojirushi makes it the perfect fluffiness and also will keep it warm for days! But also takes like 40 mins for "quick" rice and 60 mins for the normal setting.

So factor in 3x the ⚡ electricity to use it too 👍

You can't even find Rice from China at the Market. They are either USA rice, or Vietnam and Thailand.

Asian markets in the US carry plenty of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean rice.

People who actually know rice get wuchang [sayweee.com] rice from northeastern China. We drive up to Canada to buy them in the Chinese supermarkets.

I bought the 10 cup induction model. I also bought a blackstone griddle and anticipated myself being one of those hibachi grill guys making fried rice for the masses. Nope. I've yet to set up the griddle.
Not sure if this one can, but some you can get a steamer basket for and steam some veggies. Or you can make other things in it. I see people making breads in them. So for those uses I'd say bigger is better.

Of course, quantity of rice you're cooking will impact this too, but if you get an induction-heating rice cooker, it can be faster than that.

My induction rice cooker can do Quick rice in about 20-30min for 3 or 4 cups. Normal is like 30-45min. I haven't noticed much difference in the quality of result but it does save a bit of time.

This is actually correct. They mostly just do some assembly in JPN.
all rice cookers made in japan are actually assembled by vietnamese imported labor.

the fuzzy micom logic is stupid. it uses alot of power to cook a simple cup of rice. an avg zoji cooker needs at least 110 watts to cook for a full 45 min and 45w to keep warm per hr. while a "dumb" cooker only needs 20 min to cook and 25w to keep it warm.

1 kWh where I live costs 12 cents. What are you even talking about? Your argument is that the fancy rice maker will cost me 5 cents more per day if I run it 24/7. I can float that.
