YMMV i purchased 2 and was able to Bypass port requirement it only needs text verification to order. After getting device activate on total website click activate at top of page>One you've purchased through Total Wireless>I want a newer number. Plan is tied to phone IMEI when activating.

That said I have been burnt enough times and learnt the hard way to stay away from them. At least with Metro the system rejects orders beforehand. With Tracfone the issues happen after you get the phone…if something goes wrong in activation the customer service outrigjt lies and wastes your time .
That was NOT my case a few months ago, I needed to talk to CSR for unlocking.
The camera is good but not splendid. The screen looks good but has lagged touch register/none-register issue. Overall this phone is buggy and not worth the MSRP of $699. $100 seems like a fair price if you don't have other choice.

It isn't listed in the deals section for my chase freedom card website.

I guess those 7 are getting another new friend.
I don't think this phone was ever $699. I think it was $450 at most. Midrange phone.
The overheating issue is real - this phone should not be put under heavy processing stress like gaming (midrange phone - not meant for that). It will overheat then slow down to protect itself.
They supposedly fixed that issue in the new a35 with the same chipset. I suspect this is why the a35 is larger - to dissipate heat.
To improve battery life and performance, I would recommend not running at 120hz. That's a significant stress for non-flagship chipsets. I also turn off 5G (who needs that kind of speed? And it sucks up battery.).
Hopefully, Android 14 and OneUI 6.1 (just released for this phone) will fix some of the bugginess and other issues. But yes, it would do better with a purer android experience - perhaps a custom ROM - that's why I tend to prefer Pixels.
Nord is a very good phone, but OnePlus isn't as generous with Android and security updates, and has fewer options for supported custom ROMs.
