Previously I also did a lot of Metro and Tracfone deals to give to friends and family.

That said I have been burnt enough times and learnt the hard way to stay away from them. At least with Metro the system rejects orders beforehand. With Tracfone the issues happen after you get the phone…if something goes wrong in activation the customer service outrigjt lies and wastes your time .

I saw quite a few comments on "unlocked automatically after 60 days"
That was NOT my case a few months ago, I needed to talk to CSR for unlocking.

I had this phone for about 5 months. The battery sucks, the SOT was about 4 hours on a full charge, and AccuBattery estimated it even lower. The phone heated a lot. Both issues should be caused by Samsung's in house 1380 chipset (fabricated by Samsung as well). I had a OnePlus Nord 20 at the same price range that lasted about 11- 12 hours SOT on a full charge without heating issues.

The camera is good but not splendid. The screen looks good but has lagged touch register/none-register issue. Overall this phone is buggy and not worth the MSRP of $699. $100 seems like a fair price if you don't have other choice.

I'd already adjusted those developer options to try to get rid of the lag. No go.
But UI 6.1 fixed it.
Removing the Animations definitly helps. Try Removeing Bloatware.. You can't uninstall them, but you can disable them. It speedy up mine. Not a lot, but now it is faster with no lag..

Your Samsung Galaxy phone comes with 22 apps that you can safely uninstall

I went through the list and many of those apps cannot be uninstalled -- the uninstall option is greyed out.

How do you guys get past the veriff verification? I've been trying for days but It's always stuck in one place

Same is happening to me. Everything goes through then the veriff just gets stuck in a loop. Maybe have to use a PC

Edit: I did the process through a computer and it worked.
I did it with a computer and worked but got stuck at last step:
"We apologize, but we cannot process your transaction at this time"

There are lots of performance tricks for this phone that can speed it up quite a bit.
- Turn off 120hz
- Turn off 5g (more a battery saver than a performance boost)
- Turn off RAM Plus (this will result in fewer multitasking apps, but the existing ones will be faster)
- Keep 20% of internal storage free. Since this device has an SD card, that should be easy - keep all your pics/video/music on SD card.
- Turn off/reduce UI animations.

I'm sure there are plenty of others.

Not a big fan of disabling the spotlight features just to get decent performance. At that point, you just bought the wrong phone. For me, OneUI 6.1 fixes performance issues while keeping the features above.

Thanks OP . Was able to get verification code using a GV number and order phone. I did ID verification using desktop and scanned the barcode using mobile.

Some Questions :
1.Did anyone receive the phone?
2.How does billing work here ? does it charge automatically for second month with the card saved on record?
3.Once you receive the phone and setting up the device , is that when port out of GV number happens(where I have to request port out PIN from GV)?

Thanks

Their terms didn't say anything about plan requirement. You just need to activate it and then after 60 days, you can unlock it
Thanks, will know in next 60 days Smilie

I posted and did the recent iPhone 11 deal. Someone posted in that thread that you can use your normal number to verify transfer but then bring any other number once you go to activate. So I bought 2 T-Mobile numbers off of eBay to transfer. It worked great. You can also use Google voice. Search for iPhone 11 to find that deal with a lot more details.

This is a good deal for android phone. Thanks.
I got iPhone 11, can i stop the 50$ plan on second month like above Galaxy a54?, are they unlock my phone? Or can i use prepaid normal plan of 20$ for 2nd month?

How long can I wait to activate the phone and plan after receiving the phone? For example, if I purchase the phone and the $50 monthly plan by requesting to port my currrent number to Total today, and receive the phone say by May 23, 2024. What will be the last day that I have to activate the phone and plan, before Total possibly deactivatel the plan and phone? I asked Total agent via chat, and the agent said I have to activate the phone and plan within 365-day of purchase. Is that correct? Does anyone have the experience? Thanks a lot.

I activated my Total iPhone11's on the day I received them because I want to get them unlocked ASAP. But like the Total rep told you, you can wait up to 365 days to activate your phone. I use Tracfone which is a sister brand of Total, and I participate in the TF sub-forum of Howard Forums. Many people in that forum bought TF phones on QVC and HSN when they went on sale and held on to them to gift to family members on special occasions or Christmas.
