Just a warning. There's a hardware defect in some of these that cause an incredible high pitched feedback loop when using noise canceling. It's loud enough to cause hearing damage. I am reluctant to try my luck with another pair.

There is also an issue a number of people have had (myself included) where they eventually just fall apart due to the hinge on the cups being weak.

Wow, that's ugly. Seems to be a long standing and persistent issue. If I was bose I'd definitely hire someone to link to that post every chance I got.
Lol doing the lords work, gotta increase that competition/innovation.

Amazing headphones. Horrible store. I refuse to shop with Adoroma. I think it had something to do with a return on a defective product, havent shopped with them in years over the issue. I just remember the name and not to shop with them.

They do not. Used daily for two years and still going strong

I bought these in 2021 and I can't recall this issue ever happening unless this is a recent flaw. Awesome headphones at one time I was using them daily but using my jabra ear buds more often now. Still going strong and these are quite comfortable.

I have Sony WH-1000XM4 since 2021. Bought them for noise cancelling and sleeping. I added around 1000 hours on to it and the noise cancelling feature is breaking to the point it starts screeching in my Left ear. There's a fix soldering a new sensor, but it's really tiny and it was really hard to do it.

I still have the Sony WH-1000XM2 and it still works with no problems. Replaced the ear cups.

I only use the XM4 for gaming now and no noise cancelling.

I mainly bought the XM4 for the USB C Port for Quality Life efficiency.

Just a heads up.

There's a fix. You have to replace and resolder a new sensor
