For noise we moved it to laundry room off kitchen. For heat it's ok but I'm thinking just run at night and use ice bucket to store ice in refrigerator.
We do love the pellet ice. I want one with insulated container.
And yet we've been using our opal for nearly 3 years without a single issue. Granted it can get gross inside, but that's on me for not cleaning it more regularly.
