$50 each without a battery is kind of high. It's a good product, but still too expensive

It's $59 just for the regular fan and I believe I bought mine at $49 once during one of our infamous Louisiana hurricane season outages. So with a mister that can be used as a regular fan as well I consider this being worth it. The humidity here in the summer is horrible but it may only fit my needs and I respect your opinion.

Awesome fans and worth it. Two is a must as they have a pretty narrow throw. Maybe 4ft wide at 6-10 ft out depending on wind. So setting up two allow you to move around and still utilize it. They last for hours on a 4ah and use very little water(5gallons 4ish hours). Bonus they don't need water at all to work as just a fan. Only drawback to me is they're bulky.

I have a Lowes equivalent I snatched on clearance 4 years ago and it has been a blast! Set your rocking chair in front of it in the heat of the summer - nirvana! Brought it to the beach too lol. Love it. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-7...1003002600

For those who wonder, it fits a standard home improvement bucket. You set it on top of the bucket, it has a hose that submerges into the water and it pumps water through the nozzles while fan is blowing. There are two separate speed controls, one for pump and the other for the fan.

Anyone actually have and use these with the mist function? Reviews sound like it has the usual fluid clog issue, we have hard water and I'm guessing these will be calcified in a week.
Blow it out if it clogs

Anyone use these for camping? Wondering if two are worth it or just overkill
It was fantastic when I was camping in the Cali and Az desert. Isn't annoyingly loud, nice fine mist, and I used my melted ice water for extra coolness.

This is great, but I really don't want two of these things or to deal with the hassle of selling one off. What a pain.

This is essentially a fan with a pump and nozzles attached on the front (they run independently of each other). The fan is a better design than the older ones (much quieter and more air movement). I do find that there is too much moisture. I haven't tinkered with the nozzles, but even on the low setting I find the area in front of the fan to get pretty damp, even in the AZ desert. You eventually dry out in AZ and that evaporation brings some relief, but couldn't imagine using this in any location where it's moderately humid.
Does yours auto shut off after an hour or are those just defective units/batteries?

Have one of the fans and it works well. Fair warning, misting function is only beneficial in dry climates only... I'm in the South East, high humidity is constant here and the mist only gets you/surrounding items dripping wet...

Out of 141 reviews for this item, only 6 are negative. This is a non-issue for most folks and if someone's does clog up due to hard water, it is the hard water that is the problem, not the misting fan. If you can't avoid using hard water, then I'd suggest running some diluted vinegar through it before storage to help prevent calcification.

$30 for the kit which included the battery and charger. Plus $5 for the blue 5-gallon bucket which is sold separately.

Can anyone comment on how long these run per Ah? I'm getting some extra batteries for these, and I'm wondering if the 2.0 Ah models will be sufficient for a whole afternoon, or if I should splurge and get the 6.0 Ah 2-pack that's on sale.

I've never had mine clog. If you sit it on a table there will be moisture on the table during use. Try and place it high up, like under a canopy or patio cover and this won't be a problem. You'll also get better coverage.

I have 2 of the Arctic Cove misting fans (it's Ryobi, from before they were actually marketing it as Ryobi - uses Ryobi batteries). We have used our for years at softball tournaments, campgrounds, and just in the backyard. I'm in the southeast, and yes - stuff gets wet. But it feels good, so I don't really care. I don't actually use regular buckets with mine - I have some Ozark Trail bucket coolers (no longer made/sold), and I fill them with ice in the morning. I fill with water when I'm ready to use them, then I refill with water whenever they run dry. The ice lasts a LONG time doing it this way, and I love the feel of a cold ice water mist. I don't care if I'm soaked afterwards. Wink

Tried to use it for a picnic during Labor Day. Everyone is right, it really does put out too much water, even in the lowest setting. Friends just ended up getting soaked. Good idea, but wish the mist was much more fine.

Still, I'm happy with the purchase. Maybe someone was successful in modifying the amount of water dispensed?

Does anyone have experience replacing the nozzles with finer mist versions? One of the reviews said it can be done, but curious what they come with and what is the "finer" replacement opening size?
